EXAMINATION OF THE     
     SUPERIOR AND INFERIOR  
       BULBAR CONJUNCTIVA



The superior bulbar conjunctiva is also examined by having the patient look down and gently pulling the upper lid up.  The inferior bulbar conjunctival can likewise be examined by having the patient look up and pulling the lower lid down.
